About Us

Eastern Golf Course, located at NE 10th and I-35, was closed in the mid 80’s due to the economic issues in our community. Through the efforts of the Ward 7 City Councilwoman Willa Johnson, a small city appropriation along with donated goods and services resulted in the construction of the driving range that was opened in 1997.  As part of the 95 General Obligation Bond, voters approved funding for the reconstruction of the nine hole-course, renovation of a clubhouse/snack bar, and a maintenance facility. Eastern Course was renamed for James E. Stewart, honoring a long time northeast Oklahoma City community leader and Oklahoma City Golf Commissioner.

Our new home as of 3/26/2011 is our state of the art First Tee Learning Center. Our chapter has just completed construction on our own facility for just First Tee students. We are located at 600 N Martin Luther King in Oklahoma City.
